Even in a time of social distancing, you can still invite friends and family to learn the sex of your baby with a virtual gender reveal party.

Here are some ways you can share this special surprise with your loved ones online.

Wear the reveal

When you send out your gender reveal party invitations, ask guests to wear pink or blue, depending on what they think the sex of the baby will be.

When you log on to your video chat, you can wear a sweatshirt or top over another (pink or blue) shirt. Then, when you’re ready for the big reveal, peel!

Your guests will be surprised to see the color underneath when it comes up on their screen.

Confetti Poppers

Is there anything more fun than confetti? Nope!

Buy party poppers in the color you need. Then, when the time comes, let ‘em pop!

Not only will it give you a fun moment of build-up, but watching those little flakes flutter out of the tube is always a thrill.

Slice into something sweet

The classic cake-slice is always a treat for a gender reveal.

Whether you bake one or buy one, sliding out that slice of cake is a fun way to share your news with loved ones.

Or, try cupcakes

If you don’t want to commit to an entire cake, cupcakes can be a fun alternative.

This is especially fun if you have kid(s) who don’t yet know the sex of their incoming sibling. When you’re ready, count them down and have your kid(s) bite into their sweet treat at the same time.

Their surprise will make the whole announcement even more memorable.

Take bets

Tap into your competitive side and let loved ones wager on the baby’s sex.

Not only will it bring them into the exciting reveal, but they can also support you with a cash tip to help you set up a college fund or start furnishing your nursery.

Get crafty

Ask guests to decorate their space in the color they think the gender will be. They can hang a paper chain, scavenge some balloons from their junk drawer, or even add a digital backdrop to their video.

Then, once you log on, you can tell them who guessed correctly!
